Named for the proprietor’s fondness for little bonneted babies and old Russian babooshkas (grannies), the pieces marry fairytale magic, puritan bonnet-wear and timeless vintage silhouettes … simple, but with enough frill to please the frilly.

Each piece is handmade from a variety of high quality fabrics and materials, such as organic cotton and vintage remnants, some naturally hand dyed. Some pieces are one-of-a-kind and serve as a small work of art or modern heirloom to be cherished. Each season also features many pieces that are available in larger production.

Babooshka is the creation of Britt Howard who lives, works and wrangles two children in Portland, OR.
